FBA have now enhanced the Customer Portal to allow for extended functionality for Samplers. This will give FBA portal customers an option to assign specific logsheets to individual samplers and the samplers will have the option to login to the portal to update the logsheets with Paddock details including Lat – long for each paddock.
In the FBA Customer Portal, which is used on a daily basis by the majority of our customers, we have added this new functionality related to Sampler access to the logsheets.
Please note that this is an extension of the current sampler option in the portal, when a customer could maintain a list of their own samplers. The approach now is to manage a list of samplers which is common to and available to all customers, from which they can assign a sampler.
To enter a sampler name, start typing the name of the sampler and it will auto complete with the name of the best match. Once the logsheet is saved it will be available to the Sampler.
When this sampler logs into the application, they will see the list of all the logsheets assigned to them from different customers. When they open a logsheet there will be only two edit options available to the sampler user. They can change the Sample Name and the Lat – Long Details only for now. Also, the view of the logsheet is made responsive, so that it is displayed in a manner suitable for the smaller devices.
Once the sampler user saves their changes to the logsheet, it is visible to our customer user also.
Each Customer has the option to assign samplers to a logsheet, if the sampler they use is on the list. If the sampler is not on the list, by clicking on the “Add Sampler” option in the Logsheets page, they can add a new sampler to the list.
When Add Sampler is selected, the popup below is shown:
There are 2 required fields as indicated (Sampler Name and Email Address) and other fields can be entered if you wish.
When a customer adds a new sampler as above, the sampler receives an email at the email address provided. The email has a link which when they click on it, they are taken to the FBA Portal to setup a password for their new account:
Once they enter and confirm their password, they then have access to the portal and the logsheets assigned to them.
